Project description

The Zarqua river flows through the town of Zarys, and puts the city area at risk of flooding during flood periods.

In the course of a regional planning procedure, several variants of river regulation were developed.

The planned rebuild and conversion of the river bed, takes into account the total rain water of the town in its current limits, but also the rain water of a future expansion of Zarys.

The river Zarqua will be redesigned along its total length of 6.5 km, the river bed will be completely replanned over a length of 1.1 km, and in the area of the existing closed sewer (length 1.5 km), an adjustment of the existing structures and rain water facilities will be carried out.
