Project description

Between 2005 and 2010, the industrial wasteland Gelsenkirchen Bismarck was structurally prepared for a higher quality subsequent use.

The approx. 80 ha total area was prepared as commercial areas, residential/mixed areas and green areas.

In the course of this measure, the former railway bridge over the harbour entrance, including the old quays, were demolished.

Then the new harbour bridge was built, as a filigree, curved cable stayed construction.

The steel box bridge is developed as an arch shape, both in the ground plan and in the aspect.

The planning services were supplemented by a technical construction supervision in the execution phase.

The project was documented with the help of the internet based project management system PMS.
