Project:
New build railway bridge Kattwyk

Service period:
2009 – 2017

Project client:
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) AöR

Project volume:
€ 250,000,000

Project description

With the new build of the railway bridge, several sub projects had to be executed.

It included planning a 440 m long composite bridge in road traffic, incl. ramp with individual support spans of up to 31.5 m, composite superstructure, reinforced concrete substructure, deep foundations with large bored piles, floating bearing with deformation bearing.

The height of the gradients above the ground was 12 m.

A further sub project related to the planning of a road bridge across a Shell pipeline, as an integral frame bridge with a RGIC (Rolled girder in concrete) superstructure in hybrid construction, with reinforced concrete as a bending-resistant frame.

The support span here was 16 m.

A deep foundation with large bored piles was carried out.

Crossing the Shell pipeline also made it necessary to plan a railway bridge, as an integral frame bridge with a RGIC superstructure in hybrid construction, with reinforced concrete as a bending-resistant frame.

The support span was 16 m.

A deep foundation with large bored piles was carried out.
