Project:
Drainage technology survey for the new build of the motorway A 26

Service period:
2007 – 2010

Project client:
Lower Saxony state authority for road building and traffic

Project volume:
€ 3,000,000

Project description

The planned new build of the motorway cuts through the existing system of area drainage (drainage system and surface water of agricultural areas) in the planning area.

The survey area was partially below sea level, meaning that drainage, pre-flooders and pumping stations had to be re-planned and/or recalculated for land reclamation.

The reinstatement of a functional area drainage system, and the road drainage required the investigation and planning of a complex overall drainage system.
