Project:
Building preparation of properties of Düsseldorf Airport City

A 23-hectare piece of land, formerly used by the military, was purchased by Flughafen Düsseldorf Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG in April 2003, with the aim of developing this land into a high quality office location “Airport City” at Düsseldorf airport.

As a kick-off project, Flughafen Düsseldorf Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG tendered a leasing financing project (turn-key building of an underground car park with a total of 1,815 parking spaces) on the premises of Airport City.

To market the areas, the construction site was parcelled out into 23 construction sites.

The tasks of Ingenieurbüro Vössing included the overarching project control for the demolition and development of the properties of Airport City, i.e. the coordination of the sub projects, demolition of the barracks premises, building a conference hotel and underground car park, development of supply and waste disposal, and remediation of contaminated sites.
