Audi AG – Simulation of logistics transport

For 2014, it was planned to produce an additional series in the Audi factory in Ingolstadt.

This resulted in a diversification of the parts used.

This in turn led to increased logistics transport within the factory.

Even at the time, the capacities available at various points in the network, were almost exhausted, and disruptions frequently occurred, which were only eliminated relatively slowly.

In the course of a weak point analysis, the logistics transport was mapped.

• Construction of the microscopic simulation environment with VISSIM

• Modelling the specific vehicle types for the simulation

• Mapping the logistics transport in VISSIM

• Definition of the planned states

• Integration of the planned states in VISSIM

• Simulation of the traffic flow

• Evaluation of planned states using traffic jam lengths, lost times, visual impression

• Development of optimisation possibilities

• Creation of video sequences for every planned state
