Projekt:
Sewage treatment plant Rhede – Studies for the improvement of micropollutant elimination and the energy balance

Okres realizacji:

City of Rhede

Opis projektu

The town of Rhede has a sewage treatment plant, which biologically purifies the waste water of the town, mechanically and in several stages, using two PFT emitting plants.

Due to a neighbouring drinking water production, stream water from the Rhede stream also exfiltrates into the ground water and/or drinking water.

The emission of the sewage plant run-off, which is particularly polluted with micropollutants, lead to inadmissible water pollution.

The town of Rhede initiated the project “Inspection and optimisation of the purification performance, and energy balance of the Rhede sewage plant” to clarify possible and sensible improvements.

To this end, the feasibility analyses initially analysed the inventory and performance of the waste water purification, within the existing sewage treatment plant, and the waste water pre-treatment plants for the PFT emitters, and the material flows within the sewage treatment plant, for the whole catchment area of the Rhede stream and the municipal drinking water production.
