Opis projektu

For the daily production of 1,700 vehicles at the Daimler factory Bremen, DB Schenker Rail Automotive GmbH has handled the shipping of the vehicles to the sea ports, customer centres and other Daimler factories since 2014.

For this purpose, a logistics centre consisting of approx. 2,000 parking spaces for new vehicles was built on the premises of the maintenance centre of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung in Bremen Sebaldsbrück, over an area of approx. 6 ha.

For the operation of the compound, a social, office and gatehouse building, a function hall for the postprocessing of new vehicles and HGV parking spaces including HGV gates for loading and unloading new vehicles, were built.

In the 2nd expansion stage, a rail connection was created for new car shipping.

As the area is a former engine repair centre, the scope of services also included site clearance, including explosive ordnance exploration and soil remediation.
