Federal motorway A 9 - Complete replacement between junction Dessau-Süd and junction Wolfen

The Federal motorway A 9 must be completely replaced between the junction Dessau-Süd and the junction Bitterfeld-Wolfen, due to ASR damages (Alkali-silicic acid reaction) over a length of 13,675 m.

This will take place while protecting a traffic management system 4+0, and blocking the junction Bitterfeld-Wolfen at the same time.

The opening for traffic of the carriageway in the direction of Berlin, is planned for the end of 2016, and the carriageway in the direction of Munich is planned for the end of 2017.

A building time of seven months is planned for each carriageway direction.

In the course of the superstructure replacement, the bridge copings and the sealing should be replaced on four motorway structures.

Apart from the construction works “road construction and repair of structures”, the technical lots “traffic guidance during the construction period”, “vehicle retention systems” and “carriageway markings” must be monitored in each carriageway direction.

Furthermore, sub areas of the "Mosigkauer Heide" parking facilities with WC (HGV parking spaces in concrete construction, car and HGV driving lanes) will be replaced.
