Opis projektu

With the project, the entire section between Basel and Konstanz is to be electrified and the services in regional rail transport are to be expanded.

Line 4000 from Basel Bad station to Erzingen station is not a border operating line but has three border stations in Basel Bad station, Waldshut station and Erzingen station.

The electrification of the approximately 75 km long sub-section of the Hochrheinbahn between Basel Bad station and Erzingen station includes all associated retrofitting measures as well as the conversion/reconstruction of the Rappensteintunnel.

Additionally, numerous measures, such as the dissolution of bottlenecks, reconstruction/renovation of bridge structures, the increasing of the entry speeds into the train stations, the platform extension to 155 m and the increase and creation of the disabled-friendliness of the platforms at 18 transport depots must be taken into account.
