Berlin U-Bahn line U9, overhaul U-Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz

The underground station Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz exhibits considerable wear and tear, so that a thorough overhaul of the station is necessary.

The renovation relates essentially to all rear-track walls, floor coverings and the replacement of the guide system for the blind. In the course of the barrier-free extension, the asphalt surface will be replaced by a granite surface. The platform edges will be given a light and dark granite surface, and the existing grooved panels will be replaced with a tactile guidance strip.

For better visualisation and for public relations purposes, the measures for the overhaul and the barrier-free extension were visualised.
